Lifts for Rail Vehicles
and Streetcars
Used Internationally in Rail Vehicle Depots of Transport Companies
With lifting systems from J. A. Becker, both the bogie and the entire rail vehicle can be reliably and safely hydraulically lifted for maintenance and repair work.
A wide variety of lifting platform concepts are available, particularly in the light rail sector. The JAB product families reflect this.
Depending on individual needs and local conditions, lifting jack systems for side pits, track lifting systems, body-lifting systems or combinations as well as bogie lifts are used.
Based on the modular concept, all rail vehicle systems are planned individually for each project, designed, manufactured and perfectly installed and commissioned. The appropriate JAB lifting technology training course trains depot employees so that a safe operating routine is quickly established. And extensive accessories such as radio remote controls, control units for automatic position preselection, etc. make basic work easier.
Everything made in Germany.
Lifting Jack System for Side Pit
Effortless replacement of rail vehicle bogies.
Floor-guided lifting system for integration into the side pit: This system concept is specially designed as an extension to a working pit and for easy and ergonomic changing of the bogie.
The side pit remains freely accessible.
- Number of lifting units
- Adjustment travel
- Technical specifications
- Energy supply
- Control/operating concept
can be customised and freely configured.
Lifting jack systems guided by running rails are the perfect addition to any working pit.
Track Lifting System
Free access for maintenance on the rail vehicle.
The track lifting system is the ideal solution for maintenance, repairs and service work on the rail vehicle itself. The internal jacks lift the vehicle from the centre of the bogie.
This allows free access to the body, brakes, wheels and all important parts of the bogie.
The lifting platform is adapted to the customer’s fleet. In order to expand the scope of application of the JAB internal lifting systems, a combination with stationary support devices is possible.
In addition, the entire bogie can be replaced in this combination.
Body-lifting System
With stationary or movable lifting units
The body-lifting system lifts the vehicle at the body. In combination with a working pit, free access to all areas is guaranteed.
In addition, the bogie can be easily replaced, guaranteeing fast turnaround times. Depending on the vehicle fleet, installation situation and area of application, JAB body-lifters are available with stationary or mobile lifting units.
The lifting units can be placed next to – or in the working pit.
Combined System
Ideal solution for completely replacing traditional working pits when planning new projects.
The all-rounder for all requirement. The combined system is the fusion of track and body lifting systems in one workstation. The vehicle can be lifted both on the bogie (standing on its wheels) and on the body.
This high-end solution can be divided into segments, making it completely flexible to use.
Embedded directly into the workshop’s rail network, not only can the vehicles be driven freely onto the platform, but bogies can also be changed an transported to the neighboring workshop in the shortest possible time.
The combination system replaces the classic working pit completely.
I. e. maximum ergonomics, efficiency and flexibility at one workplace.
Bogie Lifting System
The right choice for unobstructed access to wheels and brakes during maintenance and repair.
The bogie is the centerpiece of every rail vehicle, housing the wheels, brakes, suspension, and drive system.
Unrestricted access to all components is essential to enable fast and easy maintenance.
Modern lift platform solutions with great automation potential make daily work in your rail vehicle depot faster and easier.
